Is insurance included in the rate quoted?
When you rent a vehicle from Europcar, Third Party Liability cover for Bodily Injury is included in the Rental Charges.
Damage Cover is also included in the rental charges but if there is damage caused to the vehicle, third party loss, or if the vehicle is stolen, you must pay an amount up to the amount of the Excess/Damage Liability Fee shown in the Rental Agreement for each separate claim. If the final loss is determined to be less than the Excess/Damage Liability Fee charged, we will refund the difference.
Damage Cover Products to reduce your Excess/Damage Liability Fee may be purchased when you make your booking or when you collect the vehicle at the rental station and are subject to payment of an additional daily charge.
You may have no cover for Damage, theft of the Vehicle or Third Party Loss in some circumstances even if the Excess/Damage Liability Fee has been paid. For example, you are not covered for the circumstances or events referred to in clause 5 of the Terms and Conditions of Rental, including a Serious Breach of the Rental Contract.
Please refer to the Terms and Conditions of Rental for the definition of a Serious Breach and the exclusions from Damage Cover.
